January Fun

The girls have had so much fun with all their Christmas presents this month! The gingerbread house and bean bag chairs have been never ending fun!
Alyssa decided that she absolutely loves sweet potatoes!

Our poor adorable snowman finally melted (rotted)

Karis practicing piano without too much protest

Solitaire on the computer has become a new Saturday afternoon favorite and Cupcake enjoys it as well!

Susanna decorated my hair while we read Penderwicks aloud and Mark insisted on a picture.

Susanna always loves it when we teach her Sunday school class.

The girls chose donuts as a prize for our January reading challenge and enjoyed going to Krispy Kreme with Daddy after school.

Playing in the gym after school one day

Alyssa loves Daddy hanging her upside down and he loves to scare me:

Papa Eric shared his favorite waffle recipe and we all agreed that they were the best waffles we had ever made!

A Snow Day and a Birthday!

Once again, Karlie was excited to find that she received a snow day for a birthday present!  This was extra appreciated this year because poor Karlie had been very very sick and a snow day meant that she would not miss another day of school!

It was so wonderful to see Karlie feeling well enough to go outside for a bit!

After playing in the snow, we let Karlie open her presents:

 We love our Karlie Sue!

What a day!  Not only did we celebrate Karlie's birthday, but we also had snow ice cream ad snow candy!  What a day for treats!

We gave Alyssa a bowl of snow to play with and eat and she was amazed!

Starting the New Year with Family

All the Delong family got together for a New Year's Day!  We tried to get a family picture, but it was impossible to get everyone looking and smiling at the same time.  Here are a few of our attempts:

The boys were pretty much done with pictures as soon a we started:

We enjoyed exchanging Christmas presents

Jason had all the kids howling in laughter with his airplane routine:

Uncle Richard had fun playing with (scaring) Alyssa:
We didn't take pictures of all our fun together, but we were thankful to get to see everyone!
